While your captain has enjoyed some modest success at our beloved game of squash, it is at the venerable art of Gamesmanship that he truly excels. Gamesmanship, that close cousin of “one-upmanship,” is an art form, which your captain has honed and perfected over the course of many long years. Simply put, Gamesmanship is the art of winning while losing. It is the art of gaining psychological advantage over one’s opponent in a manner that is often so subtle that the hapless opponent never quite understands why he is feeling so off-balance. (more…)
